Partiendo de una serie de películas en 16mm, Franco adopta el paisaje como un elemento de atracción. A partir de su fascinación por la concepción eternalista del tiempo–en donde el pasado, presente y futuro existen en simultáneo, y en donde la mente se convierte en una vía para acceder a planos que trascienden la realidad física–la artista establece un diálogo y nos invita a adoptar un vínculo más consciente con nuestro entorno físico natural. La obra se ubica, entonces, no sólo como una crítica a las formas culturales y sociales hegemónicas heredadas de occidente, sino también como una negociación entre ambos tipos de modelos. Obra finalista Premio ICPNA 2020.
In these works, Franco begins with a series of found 16mm films in order to bring attention to the landscape. She is fascinated by the eternalist conception of time, whereby past, present and future exist simultaneously and where the mind can become a gateway to planes that transcend physical reality. With this in mind, the artist seeks to establish a dialogue and invites us to develop a stronger and more conscious bond with our natural, physical environment. Thus, the work can be seen not only as a critique of hegemonic cultural and social tropes inherited by the West, but also as a negotiation between both models of understanding.

Artista y cineasta que trabaja en películas, instalación, fotografía y pintura. Tiene un MFA del California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Entre sus exhibiciones y proyecciones se destacan Ism, Ism, Ism: Experimental Cinema in Latin America (Pacific Standard Time); Under the Same Sun (Guggenheim Museum). Sus obras se han mostrado en Museum of the Moving Image (Flaherty NYC),BAM (Brooklyn, NYC); BAFICI (Buenos Aires), Museo de Arte de Lima, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, Matadero (Madrid), REDCAT, Festival de Cine de Lima, Santiago International Film Festival, Cineteca Nacional de México. Recibió el premio a Mejor Película Nacional en Lima Alterna 2021. Es representada por Vigil Gonzales Galería en Cusco, Perú.
